Experience brighter side of life with quotationsIf you have been striving for experiencing brighter side of life, inspiring quotes can do the trick for you. These motivational quotations have been compiled from the web and are from some of the most eminent personalities of the world.

To speak truly, few adult persons can see nature.  Most persons do not see the sun.  At least they have a very superficial seeing.  The sun illuminates only the eye of the man, but shines into the eye and heart of the child.  The lover of nature is he whose inward and outward senses are still truly adjusted to each other; who has retained the spirit of infancy even into the era of manhood.  – Ralph Waldo Emerson

Maybe we should develop a Crayola bomb as our next secret weapon.  A happiness weapon.  A beauty bomb.  And every time a crisis developed, we would launch one.  It would explode high in the air – explode softly – and send thousands, millions, of little parachutes into the air.  Floating down to earth – boxes of Crayolas.  And we wouldn’t go cheap, either – not little boxes of eight.  Boxes of sixty-four, with the sharpener built right in.  With silver and gold and copper, magenta and peach and lime, amber and umber and all the rest.  And people would smile and get a little funny look on their faces and cover the world with imagination.  - Robert Fulghum

When childhood dies, its corpses are called adults and they enter society, one of the politer names of hell.  That is why we dread children, even if we love them, they show us the state of our decay.  – Brian Aldiss

Speech has allowed the communication of ideas, enabling human beings to work together to build the impossible. Mankind’s greatest achievements have come about by talking, and its greatest failures by not talking. It doesn’t have to be like this. Our greatest hopes could become reality in the future. With the technology at our disposal, the possibilities are unbounded. All we need to do is make sure we keep talking. – Stephen Hawking

Youth Product Pedro hailed by Guardiola

Youth Product Pedro hailed by GuardiolaPedro Rodriguez, who was with the Barcelona B team in the third division, two seasons ago, has made a fast and successful entry to the first team of Barcelona. The 22-year old winger has now become the first player to score in 6 different club competitions in a single season.

The dynamic Pedro has outclassed French great Thierry Henry out of the starting line-up starting both Champions League quarter-final legs against Arsenal and El Clasico’s 2-0 triumph over Real Madrid on 10th April.

From Timesofindia.indiatimes.com:

In Barcelona’s 2009/10 campaign Pedro made history by becoming the first player to score in six different competitions in a single season netting in the FIFA Club World Cup, Champions League, Super Cup, Spanish league, the Kings Cup and the Spanish Super Cup.

Pedro helped Barca win a unique league, Kings Cup and Champions League treble in 2009 with 14 appearances including one as a substitute in the 2-0 Champions League final win over Manchester United.

“I was thrilled when Guardiola let me play the last few minutes of the Champions League final,” said Pedro. “I think it was his way of saying thank you for the hard work put in by all the youth-team players during the year.

“To play even a few minutes here is an absolute privilege and you have to take advantage of every moment.”

However, this has been Pedro’s breakthrough season playing 45 games in the current campaign with a return of 19 goals to leave France’s 1998 World Cup winner Henry on the substitutes bench.

Coach Pep Guardiola said Pedro is one of those extraordinary people who get embarrassed when praised in front of the squad and are aware of their roles.

They mustn’t know my despair, I can’t let them see the wounds which they have caused, I couldn’t bear their sympathy and their kind-hearted jokes, it would only make me want to scream all the more. The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they allow disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children now are tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers. – Anon

We live in an age when to be young and to be indifferent can be no longer synonymous. We must prepare for the coming hour. The claims of the Future are represented by suffering millions; and the Youth of a Nation are the trustees of Posterity. – Benjamin Disraeli

They Young People have exalted notions, because they have not been humbled by life or learned its necessary limitations; moreover, their hopeful disposition makes them think themselves equal to great things — and that means having exalted notions. They would always rather do noble deeds than useful ones: Their lives are regulated more by moral feeling than by reasoning — all their mistakes are in the direction of doing things excessively and vehemently. They overdo everything — they love too much, hate too much, and the same with everything else. – Aristotle

Youth lives on hope, old age on memories. – Proverb
