They [Young People] have exalted notions, because they have not been humbled by life or learned its necessary limitations; moreover, their hopeful disposition makes them think themselves equal to great things — and that means having exalted notions. They would always rather do noble deeds than useful ones: Their lives are regulated more by moral feeling than by reasoning — all their mistakes are in the direction of doing things excessively and vehemently. Don’t laugh at youth for his affectations; he is only trying on one face after another to find his own. – Logan Pearsall Smith

Posted in Youth Development | |

Shaping Young Minds of TomorrowIn this self-obsessive world, people often fail to identify and nourish the talent of young minds. Whether it is the fear of losing the self-worn invincibility crown or lack of time, training the youth is often in the backseat rather than being in the limelight.

But, it is important for all to realize that the young minds of today shape the world of tomorrow. If they are being denied a chance to explore their hidden or unutilized skills, they will never be able to deliver what they are really capable of. In this regard, it is imperative to identify the young talent at an earlier stage and developing effective plans to bring the best from them.

Probably, these are the reasons why more and more nations of the world are emphasizing on youth development. But what they fail to realize is the fact that the young minds are first to be understood and only thereafter training should be imparted to them. A right training module given at the right time can prove to be highly beneficial in stimulating the economy and nurturing young citizens of tomorrow.

If training and educating the young ones is not given at the right time, they cannot be expected to make any significant contribution. The greatest disadvantage of such an irrational approach is that the young minds are devoid of utilizing their skills even though the capabilities were always there to nourish.

In short, formulating effective training and education methods for shaping young minds of tomorrow can go a long way in shaping the world, for the better!
