They [Young People] have exalted notions, because they have not been humbled by life or learned its necessary limitations; moreover, their hopeful disposition makes them think themselves equal to great things — and that means having exalted notions. They would always rather do noble deeds than useful ones: Their lives are regulated more by moral feeling than by reasoning — all their mistakes are in the direction of doing things excessively and vehemently. They overdo everything — they love too much, hate too much, and the same with everything else. – Aristotle

Don’t laugh at youth for his affectations; he is only trying on one face after another to find his own. – Logan Pearsall Smith

As I approve of a youth that has something of the old man in him, so I am no less pleased with an old man that has something of the youth. He that follows this rule may be old in body, but can never be so in mind. – Marcus T. Cicero

Recipe to success for youth!Success needs no introduction – though it can be relatively described differently by different people but ideally when we accomplish what we strongly desired in our life, we are said to be successful in life. Today, the biggest challenge today’s youth is confronting is not knowing what exactly do they want from life. They are bright, talented and fast learners but they don’t know which path to tread on and how to go about achieving what they’ve always been dreaming. Well, this imbroglio can also be solved when we try understanding the fundamentals that line success.

Here are some simple steps that’ll help you understand it better!

Identify!

The first thing is to identify what you really want to achieve in the next 5 to 10 years. Knowing your destination before you start your journey is the first key to success. The clearer your goal, the faster you will be able to achieve it. Also your journey will become an enjoyable process if your frame of mind is clear.

Believe in yourself!

We all love to dream but most of us only keep dreaming. We never really believe that we can actually fulfill those dreams as well. This is so because our dreams are often far away from the reality we are dwelling in at that point; lack of resources further bring us down and we succumb to mediocrity pretty soon. Well, this is exactly where we lose. In order to really achieve what you want in life, it is a mandate that you build a strong belief system within yourself. You will have to think that it is possible for you achieve it. We humans are a store house of unlimited potential and we can achieve anything in life; provided we tap it from within ourselves.

Most people don’t become successful because somewhere deep within they believe that it is impossible for them to achieve it.

Write your goals!

The biggest advantage of writing your goals is that it helps you stay focused. So the moment you realize what you want from life, write down your dreams on a piece of paper and paste it somewhere you can see often. This will remind you of your mission from time to time and help build firm determination to accomplish it.

There’s more to it on this series so keep reading for more tips and be good!

How to make your dreams come true!

How to make your dreams come true!We all love to dream. They are like our wings to reach for destinations we think are otherwise impossible to reach. They give us hope, an impetus to move forward and make a happy living. I’m sure each one of us dreams of achieving something or the other in life but truly manifesting them in reality is where the actual key lies. But why is it that most of us only stay back dreaming all our life? Why don’t we get up and simply achieve what we desire? I’ll tell you why. We are not able to reach our goals because we are victims of our own thinking. Because we ourselves think that it is impossible for us go that far and so we give up. We might blame it on lack of resources or any other thing but if we really desire something in life, nothing can possibly stop us from achieving it. However, the biggest challenge that today’s youth faces is not about not knowing what they want from life but not knowing how to go about achieving it.

In my last blog post I discussed the fundamentals necessary for achieving one’s goal. Let’s take a quick look at them.

  • The foremost thing is realizing what you actually want from life. Think about what really captures your interest. Give it a good thought for unless you know what you truly want, your journey won’t start.
  • Second comes strengthening your belief system. Believing in yourself is the key to achieving your dreams. Your confidence and firm determination are the anchors that’ll help you fight all impediments, surmount all difficulties reach your goal.
  • The first step of defining your goal starts with writing them down. The toll of everyday pressures often makes us forget our target. Writing them and pasting them at a place that frequently catches our attention will keep reminding us of it.

The final leap lies in taking action towards achieving your target. We often end up procrastinating things, thinking we can always do them later. If we really want to achieve our goal, this must be avoided at all costs. No matter how busy how schedule is, try taking at least one step towards it everyday.

You should know that your journey of achieving your goal should be as enjoyable as the feeling of achieving it is, for you.

Failures of Life Are you learning lessons or going into depressionLife is nothing but a see-saw. It would not be wrong to say that you might be down one bad day but you will surely go up another day. However, if you go down and do not inspire yourself to go up, the destiny will keep you down and vice-versa. After all, it is well said that God helps those who help themselves.

If you came across a failure, you must be happy that God wants you to do things in a different manner and in a better way.

Try taking lessons from your failures and do not consider them to be the end of all roads to your future happiness and prosperity. You will enjoy appreciating life beyond the normal stuff, only if take failure just as success. If you are young, the platform is even bigger for you and you must not do anything that puts you down in any way.

If you see across yourself, you would find that almost each one of us faces troubles. These troubles may not be visible to you in the first parlance but that does not mean that they do not exist at all. The difference is that while some exaggerate, others quietly learn lessons and move ahead in their lives. The point here is that success and happiness are attained by those who take failures in their stride and improve their way of working to be successful and not to those who think that all is lost and gone when something bad happens to them.

So if you want to really make a name for yourself, do not give much thought to the failures of life. Try to learn from them and improvise when things do not go as per your expectations so that you can stay a Winner in all aspects. Remember, no one is the born child of destiny; one needs to make efforts and give his best before expecting anything.
