A recently concluded study has revealed that pleasant working atmosphere and fatty pay cheques seem to be the main priorities for Indian job seekers, most of whom prefer IT sector for employment opportunities.
The survey was conducted from December to February 2011.

“Apart from high salary and pleasant working atmosphere, other main factors considered by (job seekers) were job security in the long run, work-life balance and financial health of firms,” Ma Foi Randstad’s MD and CEO E Balaji told reporters today.
The survey, which covered about 10,000 respondents, also found that IT sector, including BPO and ITeS, were the prime choice for employment, followed by energy, consulting, consumer goods & retail and travel & hospitality areas.
According to the study, the top 20 companies for employment include Infosys, TCS, Larsen & Toubro, NTPC, ONGC, Toyota and Oracle.
Balaji noted that women preferred to have their office in a good location while men were mainly looking for the financial health of companies.
The findings are part of an online survey by leading HR solutions provider Ma Foi Randstad.
