More and more people are trying the idea of live-in relationships since no one wants to be taken for granted in a married relationship.
Like every thing, live in relationships have their pros and cons but the younger generation is finding it exciting and beneficial in order to be successful with life.

However, a live-in relationship doesn’t come with the secure trappings of a marriage. As court judgments try to keep up with changing social trends, it can be hard for people in live-in relationships to understand their rights. There’s not much one can do if a partner chooses to walk out of a relationship.
A while back, the Delhi High Court held that live-in relationships came with their own consequences. However, a few days later, the Supreme Court overruled this decision stating that live-ins can be presumed married if the couple has been living together for several years. Explains Devika Singh, an advocate with Kochar & Company, “Both partners have to be single. But, the Court hasn’t said that it is the same as marriage, or that if they break-up, they will have to get a divorce.”
“You can’t make another person love you. What can the court do?” reacts Rukhsana Tabassum, a creative professional, who prefers living-in to marriage as the relationship gives her space. However, points out Dahliya, “Some action for infidelity should be taken if a live-in couple has a child and the man deserts the woman for another.”
Though most believe live-in relationships are like trial marriages, there seems to be no stopping the popularity of this concept even in the otherwise conservative countries of the world like India.
