Grown-ups love figures.  When you tell them that you have made a new friend, they never ask you any questions about essential matters.  They never say to you, “What does his voice sound like?  What games does he love best?  Does he collect butterflies?” Instead, they demand:  “How old is he?  How many brothers has he?  How much does he weigh?  How much money does his father make?”  Only from these figures do they think they have learned anything about him.-Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince, 1943, translated from French

Practical life teaches us that people may differ and that both may be wrong: it also teaches us that people may differ and both be right.  Anchor yourself fast in the latter faith, or the former will sweep your heart away.-Augustus William Hare and Julius Charles Hare, Guesses at Truth, by Two Brothers, 1827

Have a heart that never hardens, a temper that never tires, a touch that never hurts.-Charles Dickens

In this age, which believes that there is a short cut to everything, the greatest lesson to be learned is that the most difficult way is, in the long run, the easiest.-Henry Miller, The Books in My Life

Nature gave men two ends – one to sit on and one to think with.  Ever since then man’s success or failure has been dependent on the one he used most.-George R. Kirkpatrick

Positive Approach to Life
Author: admin

Positive Approach to LifeIt does not matter if you are already a successful person or not, if you have a positive approach to life you will surely reach at the top.

Have you ever wondered we tend to get positively influenced by words of wisdom or meeting an optimistic individual? The reason is simple – the reason of life helps us redefine our own approach to life and work for the better.

When we are able to find happiness and contentment in small things and achievements of life, it becomes easier for us to work for our own betterment. Moments of life then become easy to be shared and nourished and these kinds of moments in the future happen on a regular basis.

The point to be conveyed is that there cannot be anything better and more effective than following a positive approach to life. Life can be a bed of roses when we start appreciating our present and work for the future rather than living in the past and blaming destiny or others for our failures.

When we start acting positively, people around us find happiness and solace in our company and social relationships are nurtured without us making a real special effort. It is just like that all of us find happiness to see a smiling child even if he or she is unknown to us. That is human nature and cannot be denied at any stage or point of time.

In short, nothing can be as pleasing and satisfying than observing a positive approach to life. If you have any doubts, just follow this advice for a few days and see the results yourself.

Life is to be lived but live it happily
Author: admin

Life is to be lived but live it happily

If you think that the statement “no one is perfect” is a myth and you are all perfect but emphasize on nonliving things to make a living one unhappy, I would say that you are the most imperfect creature in this world.

It does not matter what the world or destiny brought for you and it also does not matter if you could have been anything better, the only thing that matters to the world is how you behave and feel while being in this world. For this sense, it does not matter how many cars or mobiles you have if you can count the number of your good friends on your fingertips.

Mantra to happiness

It is essential for all of us to try our level best to be good to all so that each one of us can help and be helped by people around us. Moreover, each one of us must have a conscious that reminds us of every good and bad thing done by us. While we must make every effort to repeat the good act, the bad acts must never be repeated ever again. This is perfection.

Always remember what you do comes back to you, sooner and later and if you want to stay happy, do make at least a small effort to make others happy. Your loved ones would surely give a “hug” to you for this.

Is Social Networking killing your personal life?
Author: admin

Is Social Networking killing your personal life?In the last few years, social networking sites such as Facebook, Orkut, and Twitter have gained immense popularity. Popularity of social networking tools such as Farmville (Facebook) have been highly popular and reaching every modern home and its inhabitants. However, what was once a time pass activity is now transforming itself into an addiction.

While a 10-15 minutes presence on these sites was more than enough in the past, it is now several hours. While one family member was previously criticized for spending so much of time, the habit soon developed into the whole family and you can easily find a number of people and families getting addicted to these networking sites at the extent of compromising their natural happiness and family.

In the quest to make a noteworthy appearance on these sites, most of us are forgetting the real meaning of happiness. And what we are losing in the meanwhile is interest in personal relationships and social happiness. While friendships are now limited to Orkut and Facebook, phone calls to friends are reducing as one can chat live but the personal touch of care, respect, and belonging is reducing due to these sites.

If you are a member of any of these sites and spending too much of your time (more than 30 minutes) per day then you can see the “wall” in personal relationships already. If you have not, do not consider yourself as an exception as the first stone is already there and you have just missed understanding your sixth sense. Do not allow social networking to kill your personal life!
