Anger management in a married relationship
Author: admin

Posted in Role of Youth | |

Anger management in a married relationshipExcessive anger is one of the biggest reasons for marital dispute and it is suggested that one of the partners needs to stay calm during a heated argument so that things can calm down for the better.

The fact that anger in relationships is very common and there could be end reasons to fuel anger makes it all that necessary for one of the partners to exercise presence of mind and stay calm.

From Timesofindia.indiatimes.com:

Sexual dissatisfaction

“Our frequency of sex has drastically dropped after the birth our eight-month-old son. My husband keeps cribbing over it and we often end up fighting the issue. I fear if this situation continues for long, he might look for options outside our marriage to fulfill his sexual desires,” exhorts Garima Chauhan, a web designer.

Expert Tip : “Absence of sex can often lead to dissatisfaction amongst partners. It even has the potential to land your marriage in rough waters. It is very important to communicate your feelings of sexual inadequacy to your partner frankly. Together try and explore the reasons that may be putting your partner off sex. If need be, consult an expert in the matter,” Mahima says.

Suspicion of Infidelity

Mandeep Singh is banker married to his girlfriend of five years, Shriya who works for an event management company. Things were going smooth between the two of them, until Shriya started coming home very late from work. “I noticed that she was returning home late regularly. I started suspecting her, because I was getting unsatisfactory answers for her late comings. As a result I started yelling at her, blaming her of betrayal.”

Expert Tip : “Be careful while flinging insults at your partner. Insults whether justified or not have a way of creating disaster and causing friction in a relationship. Take time to identify what’s bothering you and put your thoughts together in a descriptive manner which will be easy for your partner to understand,” suggests Anu Goel, a relationship expert.

It is important for the married couple to realize that compassion and intimacy are two virtues that should always be emphasized upon along with respect for each other.

No strings attached with live-in relationships

No strings attached with live-in relationships

More and more people are trying the idea of live-in relationships since no one wants to be taken for granted in a married relationship.

Like every thing, live in relationships have their pros and cons but the younger generation is finding it exciting and beneficial in order to be successful with life.

From Timesofindia.indiatimes.com:

However, a live-in relationship doesn’t come with the secure trappings of a marriage. As court judgments try to keep up with changing social trends, it can be hard for people in live-in relationships to understand their rights. There’s not much one can do if a partner chooses to walk out of a relationship.

A while back, the Delhi High Court held that live-in relationships came with their own consequences. However, a few days later, the Supreme Court overruled this decision stating that live-ins can be presumed married if the couple has been living together for several years. Explains Devika Singh, an advocate with Kochar & Company, “Both partners have to be single. But, the Court hasn’t said that it is the same as marriage, or that if they break-up, they will have to get a divorce.”

“You can’t make another person love you. What can the court do?” reacts Rukhsana Tabassum, a creative professional, who prefers living-in to marriage as the relationship gives her space. However, points out Dahliya, “Some action for infidelity should be taken if a live-in couple has a child and the man deserts the woman for another.”

Though most believe live-in relationships are like trial marriages, there seems to be no stopping the popularity of this concept even in the otherwise conservative countries of the world like India.

Hefty pocket money leading teens to bars

Hefty pocket money leading teens to barsA study has claimed that 45 percent of Class 12th students in big cities have already taken to drinking and this has been made possible due to fat pocket money and peer influence.

Industry body Assocham said in a survey conducted over 2,000 boys and girls in major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Goa, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Chandigarh, and Dehradun that as many as 45 per cent of the 12th graders in metropolitan cities consume alcohol excessively, at least five to six times in a month.

From Ndtv.com:

Higher liquor consumption was witnessed among teenagers in Delhi-NCR and Mumbai followed by Chandigarh and Hyderabad.

“Each year, students spend Rs. 3,500-4,500 on alcohol, more than they spend on soft drinks, tea, milk, juice, coffee, movie tickets or books combined,” Assocham said.

About 70 per cent of the teens consume alcohol on occasions like farewell party, New Year, Christmas, Valentine’s Day and birthdays.

While most of the boys start drinking before college, only 40 per cent of the girls take their first drink between the age of 15 to 17.

Usage of alcohol has resulted in high-risk sexual behaviour, HIV infection and liver disease.

The reasons attributed to this starling revelation included easy money, easy availability of imported brands, increased spending power, peer influence, and inadequate parental control.

Are you or facing financially unfaithfulness?
Author: admin

Posted in News | |

Are you or facing financially unfaithfulnessFinancially cheating your partner or spouse is something that is and has been prevalent since long and many couples engage in it frequently without even believing that it amounts to cheating.

This financial infidelity may be as small as a visit to a retro-bar by a man or to the salon by a woman but the degree of infidelity does not nullify the cheat.

From Timesofindia.indiatimes.com:

The money secrets that partners keep from their better halves, takes many forms – ranging from harmless and idiosyncratic, to hurtful and destructive. Most partners have indulged in it at some point or the other. The sad part about monetary cheating is that, very often, it is so subtle that people don’t know they’re engaging in it, yet it can be just as devastating when it is finally out in the open.

Sometimes, this can also be well intentioned. Somya Mohanty, a human resource executive, says, “I have secretly saved money to surprise my husband. I know he always spends too much and that is the reason I have not told him about this extra cash.” The reason for the monetary cheating here, may not be a bad one but it still is cheating, though a mild form. This kind of behaviour may lead to mistrust in the partner later and the overall health of the relationship may suffer because of this say experts.

It is worth noting here that financial cheating with a sense of guilt is infidelity while an open and honest communication to save money to surprise the spouse is good enough to be termed as a trustworthy communication.

Eight signs of cancer identified

Eight signs of cancer identified

Researchers from the Keele University have highlighted the eight unexplained symptoms that are most likely to result in cancer.

These findings are expected to have critical implications for medical practitioners and cancer patients across the world.

From in.news.yahoo.com:

The Keele University team also points to the age at which patients should be most concerned by the symptoms, which include blood in urine and anaemia.

The other symptoms are: rectal blood, coughing up blood, breast lump or mass, difficulty swallowing, post-menopausal bleeding and abnormal prostate tests, reports the BBC.

Cancer Research UK said unusual changes in a person’s health should be checked.

The figure for each symptom was calculated by combining the results of 25 previous studies.

They found that, if the patient was below the age of 55, there were only two signs, which reached the ‘one-in-20′ threshold.

These were a rectal prostate examination, which gave abnormal results, and a breast lump.

In men over 55, difficulty in swallowing could be a sign of oesophageal cancer while blood in the urine could be seen as a particular concern for men and women aged over 60.
